1 TOA is defined as an inflammatory mass involving the tube and/or ovary characterised by the presence of pus. Percutaneous drainage of pelvic abscesses: management of the tubo-ovarian abscess. Percutaneous drainage was successful in 15 of 16 patients (94%).
